United Independent School District officials are returning attention to the district's school emergency supply drive.
The drive starts Monday, July 19, and will run through Thursday, Aug. 12. Members of the community can make donations Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the administrative building, 201 Lindenwood Dr, and at the Student Activity Center, 5208 Santa Claudia Lane. Additional drop-off locations are expected to be announced soon.
Recent storms and flooding created unforeseen financial burdens for many Laredo families. This campaign is designed to help local families supply their students with the items they need for the new school year. UISD asks that individuals and businesses donate school supplies and uniforms at local drop-off locations. Gently used and undamaged school uniforms also accepted.
