Have your child immunized early and beat the rush

Rosie Morales looks on as her son, Ricky, an incoming seventh-grade student at Trautmann Middle School, receives a shot from Judy Longoria, a nurse with the Texas Department of State Health Services, during an immunization clinic held at the United ninth-grade campus. As the first day of school begins on Aug. 23, the United Independent School District encourages all parents to make sure their child's immunizations are up-to-date. As per state law, students who do not have their required immunizations may not be allowed to attend class. UISD reminds parents to beat the "back-to-school rush" and take advantage of the many community immunization clinics available to the public or see their private physician.
